A Patriotic Menu

Happy Independence Day Everyone!

We have a few people over for some Fourth of July festivities.  At brunch, after I revealed what I planned to make all weekend, my friends suggested that I should share.  So, without further adieu, I am presenting the Fourth of July Eatery Series!

Here’s what’s on the menu for my household this weekend–some healthy, some not, but always patriotic! Let freedom (and your bellies) reign! ;-). Check back often as each meal is prepared this weekend (I’ll be updating all weekend).  Then click on the link for the recipes to each meal.

Liberty French Toast

Main Dishes:
Spicy Turkey Burgers
Star-spangled Pasta Salad

Sides (to serve with either lunch or dinner):
Grilled Corn on the Cob
Red, White and Blueberry Fruit Salad
Rosemary Chicken Skewers
Tasty Sirloin Skewers

Homemade Patriotic Pop Tarts

Representing the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave!

Peace, Love and Live Life Full,

  3. Hello there! What a fantastic idea….posting your 4th of July menu all weekend. Your description makes me wish I was there! I see you have the home-made poptarts!. Did you make any in blueberry? I wonder if you freshly picked these as you did the strawberries in a previous post. It all sounds delightful and I will definitely be checking in throughout the weekend! 🙂

Hi! And thank you! It was my friends’ idea. The recipes are going up slowly because I’m also taking time to hang out lol. But you’ll just have to wait and see about the pop tarts 😉 ☺😉

  4. Another lovely presentation! You probably have noticed that I am looking at your menu out of order but it’s all good! I am truly enjoying this! And I forgot to say that I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend! It appears that you are! 🙂

I certainly am. About to head out to fireworks. The tropical storm delayed some celebrations about a day. I hope you’re enjoying your holiday weekend!

      • I hope your fireworks were spectacular. I did my celebrating on yesterday so I have been taking it easy today and the rest of the weekend should be pretty quiet which is a good thing! 🙂

They were kind of a dud because we had a tropical storm roll in, but that’s okay. I’m glad you had a fantastic holiday! The last of the 4th of July recipes are going up today. 🙂

      • Thank you. I will be checking out the rest of the recipes and bookmarking them so that I will always have them on hand! Thanks again for posting such awesome food ideas.:)
